​Pastor Victor J​. and Dr. Jennifer L. C​oleman, S​r.

Pastor Coleman is the former Pastor of Temple Hills Church of God. He served from October 2002 to February 28, 2023. He was born in McComb, MS to the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis  Wilson and Arsola Coleman, Sr. He is the eleventh of twelve children.

 

Pastor Coleman is married to Dr. Jennifer L. Coleman. They are  the proud parents of six children, Victor “James”, Bruce (wife Dominique), Ashley, Victoria Dominique, Vincent Martel (wife Jayme) and Victorine Monique.

 

Pastor Coleman retired from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) after 35 years of government service, thirty-two (32) of with IRS and three (3) years the U.S. Army and five (5) years Army Reserve.

 

He has over 32 years of Information Technology experience. This experience includes being a computer operator, programmer, Project Manager, Program Manager and Acting Director for several large and multi-million dollar projects.

 

While in the Army and Army Reserve, Pastor Coleman served as a Combat Engineer, Bridge Specialist, and Personnel Specialist. His assignments were in Missouri, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Germany.

 

Pastor Coleman committed his life to the Lord in March 1979 at Fort Stewart Georgia. He was called and licensed to preach and teach the Gospel in 1981 and ordained in 1982 at Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church, in McComb, MS, under the leadership of the late Pastor, Dr. B.A. Golf. He was later ordained at Word of Faith Christian Center in Memphis, TN under his Pastor, Apostle, Dr. Eugene Crockett.

 

In 1989 Pastor Coleman and his family moved to Alexandria, Va. He later relocated to Columbia, Md, where he joined Longreach Church of God under his spiritual Father Bishop Robert S. Davis, Sr. He was licensed and ordained in the Church of God in 1994.

 

In the summer of 2002 Pastor Coleman accepted the call to Pastor. In October 2002, he was called and started as Senior Pastor of Temple Hills Church of God in Temple Hills, MD. He was installed as Pastor in December 2002. He resigned from the church on February 28, 2023, after serving almost 21 years as Senior Pastor.

 

In addition to pastoring, Pastor Coleman was the National President of the Christian Fundamentalist Internal Revenue Employees (CFIRE) organization, on the board of Director for the Global Vision Mission organization with outreach to Africa. He has also conducted missionary work in Haiti, Africa, South America (Guyana) and Europe.

 

His educational accomplishments are as follows: Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Data Processing from Utica Junior College (Utica, MS); Bachelor of Science in Computer Science form Lemoyne Owen College (Memphis, TN); Master Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University (Washington, DC); Stephen Ministry Training; Certified Adult Mental Health First Aid and Family to Family Mental Health Instructor  from the National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI). He also attended Southwest Mississippi Seminary, Magnolia, MS.

 

Pastor Coleman is founder and owner of VCHAMP Enterprises, LLC, a company with interest in real-estate investing, remodeling and leadership training, helping business owners establish companies (LLC, corporations, etc.) and consulting.

 

During his collegiate years he served as the President of the Baptist Student Union, President of the Student Government, established a weekly Church Service on Campus, Campus Photographer, Newspaper editor and Thespian.

 

His motto is “Love God, Love People.” He loves to laugh.
